Mt Caroline Active Honey is bioactive honey from nectar derived
from Leptospermum Nitens trees.
The beauty of these trees is that they are native and unique to parts of the Central Wheatbelt of Western Australia and are from the same species as the more widely known Manuka trees (Leptospermum Scoparium) that underpin the Manuka active honey industry.

Clusters of naturally occurring trees (or wildstands) of Leptospermum Nitens are currently the main source of our honey. Batches from our most recent harvest are tested at MGO 100+.

Benefits
There are many benefits to taking high MGO honey (MGO is an indicator for anti -microbial activity). The honey can be applied externally or consumed. A teaspoon per day supports a healthy immune system:

Our Project
At Mt Caroline Honey we are also passionate about revegetation and restoring and reconnecting original bushland. For our budding Leptospermum Nitens plantation project we are therefore planting a mix of native plant and tree species to avoid mono-flora, recreate healthy growing conditions and promote biodiversity.
Our planting project is supported by the WA State Government’s Carbon Farming and Land Restoration Program.
